God’s True Worshippers’ Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ in our congregation and inspire them to
embrace the following qualities:
The Four “D’s”
1. Dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Dependable to do the Lord’s work
3. Determined to live Holy and walk upright
4. Different from the world, able to travel by faith
and have charity for all humanity
We stand for the faith that was founded and built upon the percepts, practices and teachings
that is infallible.
We believe that God’s True Worshippers Church in the Lord Jesus is connected to the body of
Christ, which is the church. Be it known that the spirit (HOLY GHOST) make the connection. For by
one spirit are we all baptized into one body whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond
or free; and have been all made to drink into one spirit ( 1 Corinthians 12:13).
Our teaching, which is that of the Apostles, reflects this experience. “And they continued
steadfastly in the Apostles’ Doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and in prayers”.
(Acts 2:42)
History of the Church
The history of God’s True Worshipper Church in the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostles Doctrine:
In 1994, after the passing of Bishop W.F. Lucas, pastor and general overseer of Lucas Temple True
Church of God in Christ, Elder Irvin Bryant became pastor. Elder Bryant pastored for seven years and the Lord was adding to the church such as should be saved. In 2001, with unclear reasons, from the True
Church of God in Christ leadership, the Bishop decided he would be pastor. The Lord had provided an
opportunity for the furthering of the gospel. Since I was sent by God to preach His word and not by man
I had no choice but to continue declaring His word according to the scriptures.
Minister Tony Smith had secured a place just in case things went south, at the Radisson Hotel…our next
service was at Radisson Hotel and we chartered as God’s True Worshippers Church in the Lord Jesus.
For several weeks we met at the Radisson Hotel and later moved to a suite on Memorial Drive, Stone
Mountain, Ga. The Lord continued to add to the church daily such as should be saved. Later we were
able to move to our present location 4211 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur, Ga. 30034.
Through the trials and tribulations, criticism, being lied on and the disappointments our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ continues to bless us with strength to take a stand and declare His word according to the
scriptures….I believe what I can read….Father God has a son Christ Jesus at His right side. Grace be with
you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the son of the Father, in
truth and love. (2 John 3 ) God True worshippers are believers who love and worship God with their
whole heart, spirit, soul and truth. True worshippers worship and praise Jesus Christ in good, bad and
challenging times. We teach, preach and strive earnestly to live by the true word of God as documented
in the original KJV Bible.
This ministry was founded by divine revelation to reach the unsaved world with the gospel of Jesus
Christ, to teach the true meaning of Holiness, and nourish all believers into the Christ-like family that
was intended from the creation of man and to prepare His bride to be received by the soon coming King
of Kings and Lord of Lords our Savior Jesus Christ.
Formal Code of Doctrine and Discipline
The foundation of God’s True Worshippers’ Church in the Lord Jesus is built upon the timeless truths
found in the inspired scriptures. All scriptures are given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16 ).
The Holiness of God is our life ( the basic essential tenets of our faith which is supported and girded by
the authority of God’s word) in and for our daily living, “ because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am Holy”
(I Peter 1:16)
Our teaching is rooted and grounded in our knowledge and comprehension of Jesus Christ, the son of
God; repentance of sin, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost and
living a Holy life in this present world; until Christ comes for his church, whether we be alive or asleep.
“The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord”
( I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
